1. Project Management and Engineering Services Unit at Kozloduy NPP for tasks on decommissioning of units 1 and 2. Important projects implemented by ENPRO CONSULT within the Project Management Unit are:
    • Updated the strategy for decommissioning of Units 1 to 4.
    • Development of a Decommissioning Plan for Units 1 and 2.
    • Technical design and supply of the necessary equipment for organizing Material Size Reduction Areas in the Machine Room, Units 1-4 at Kozloduy NPP.
    • Technical design and supply of the necessary equipment and materials for installation of new water pipelines between technical water, Group “B” – Units 3,4 with technical water system of Units 1,2.
    • Connection between pipelines Du400 and technical water system, Group “B” – Units 3&4 – and technical water system – Units 1&2
    • Development of plate heat exchangers for backup of heat exchangers 1, 2HWB-A.
    • Development of a Safety Analysis Report for Decommissioning.
    • Assessment of the residual resource of systems, components, buildings that remain in use during decommissioning.
    • Development of a Safety Analysis Report for the operation of Units 1 and 2 of Kozloduy NPP as a RAW Management Facility through the Specialized Division “Decommissioning – Kozloduy”
  2. Development of a project for a comprehensive radiation survey of Units 1 and 2 of “Kozloduy NPP” EAD – subcontractor of EWN.
  3. Independent expertise and justification of the safe operation of Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP during non-design operation of the drives of the control and protection system (CPS) SHEM-3
  4. Draft of the third national report of the Republic of Bulgaria on the implementation of the obligations arising from the Unified Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management”
  5. Assessment of the residual resource of systems and facilities for the storage of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) and of the technological systems in the spent nuclear fuel repository (SNF) of Kozloduy NPP
  6. “Development of a Program for the study, analysis and assessment of the mechanical characteristics of pipelines group “B” of Unit 6 of Kozloduy NPP after 100,000 hours of operation” (subcontractor of AtomToploproekt)
  7. Implementation of an additional possibility for emergency filling of spent nuclear fuel pools BOK-V,G in case of rupture of pipelines connected to BOK-V,G, which provide cooling and water level maintenance, necessary for the safe storage of spent nuclear fuel (SNF)
  8. Increasing the seismic resistance of pipelines providing cooling and water level maintenance in spent nuclear fuel pools BOK-V,G
  9. Design of thermal insulation for equipment and pipelines of Unit 1 of Maritsa East 2 TPP
  10. Preparation of a detailed design for the construction of a temporary scheme with a support and suspension system, necessary for performing steam purging of BL.3 and BL.4 and carrying out author’s supervision during the implementation
  11. Detailed design for the repair of a boiler-utilizer at an incinerator for the incineration of hazardous hospital waste

  • ENPRO Consult Ltd. gives students of Nuclear Energy and Thermal Power Engineering the opportunity to work in the company's office and get to know the business up close. The duration of the internships is 3 months (July, August and September). The deadline for submitting documents is the end of June each calendar year.

Requirements for candidates:

– To be students in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year, studying the specialty "Thermal Power Engineering or Nuclear Power Engineering"

– To have a minimum GPA of 4.00 in the last semester;

– To show high motivation and desire for development, as well as high personal discipline.

  1. Motivation letter for applying for the program, for development in the relevant field, interests and extracurricular activities/projects and professional experience.
  2. Certificate from the Technical University - city Sofia or Sofia University "Kliment Ohridski" that for the current academic year the student is enrolled in a full-time form of study in one of the specified programs.
  3. A copy of a bachelor's degree diploma or a certificate of completion of a degree with a calculated average grade point average. For applicants after the first semester of the master's program, an additional certificate with a calculated average grade point average for the semester before application is required.
